Active Travel Project Officer - Active Routes to School
FTE £29,250 - £31,500| Part-Time, 22.5 hrs/week
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Active Travel Project Officer to join our ‘Active Routes to Schools’ project: promoting active travel among school-age young people in Oban and surrounds. This role will involve working closely with schools, parents, local authorities, and community groups to develop and implement strategies that encourage children and teenagers to travel to school by foot, bike, or other non-motorised means.
The role will also involve supporting with Adventure Oban’s wider Out and About activities such as the Big Bike Weekend, Spring Festival and pop up Bike Park events. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, a creative problem solver, and have a commitment to environmental sustainability and public health.

Volunteers
Adventure Oban is run by a volunteer board of directors - that means we all have a limited amount of time we can commit to the life of the project. Therefore, we’re always on the look out for anyone who would like to help out in any voluntary capacity. Whether it’s marshalling at one of the various events we help to run each year, hanging up bunting at one of our ‘Come and Try It’ activity sessions or just helping to shout about our latest plans to all your friends - we’d love to hear from you! Members
For just £5, you can become a lifetime member of Adventure Oban. All members are required to agree with our aims and objectives - you can read these in our articles of association.
Adult members have to be aged 16 years or older. We have a Junior Membership for young adventurers aged 5-15. We also have an Associate Membership which is available to organisations and businesses.
