Ganavan Sands
Ganavan Sands is a beautiful sandy beach around 3 miles to the north of Oban. Surrounded by high cliffs that form a natural amphitheatre around the beach, the area supports a wide range of outdoor activities.
Adventure Oban are working with the community to develop Ganavan’s potential as an outdoor hub.

Activities
Ganavan supports a huge array of activities! Each week, hundreds of enthusiasts use the area for paddleboarding, kayaking, dog-walking, bouldering, orienteering, kite-surfing, diving, wild swimming, wing-foiling and so much more!

Potential
Ganavan is already well used - but it could be so much more. Whilst we might take the area for granted, it really is a unique green space for the local community. Adventure Oban would like to help bring back into use some of Ganavan’s facilities that have fallen into disrepair and develop additional ways to access this natural playground. Whether it’s organising beach cleans or celebrating the stunning views - we are excited to play our part in looking after Ganavan.
